DRESDEN ist ein kulturelles und architektonisches Highlight in Deutschland. Einst Residenzstadt des Kurfürsten August des Starken, wuchs Dresdens Bedeutung über die Jahrhunderte und erreichte ihre Glanzzeit im 17 u. 18 Jahrhundert. Davon zeugen noch heute die vielen Prachtbauten und Kunstschätze. Furchtbarerweise wurde jedoch vieles im 2. Weltkrieg, genauer gesagt am 13. u. 14. Februar 1945, unwiederbringlich durch Bomben zerstört. Doch nach über 60 Jahren erstrahlt Dresden wieder im neuen Glanz und sollte in keinem Deutschlandbesuch fehlen.

DRESDEN is a cultural and architectural highlight in Germany. Once the  residence of Augustus the Strong, Elector of Saxony, Dresden's importance gained over the centuries and reached its high period in the 17th and 18th century. The many magnificent buildings and art treasures that still can be found there today are evidence of that time. Terribly, a lot of things were irrecoverably destroyed by bombs in WWII on the 13th and 14th February 1945. But after more than 60 years Dresden is shining again and should be on every itinerary for Germany.
